Wine Country Chapter was chartered in 2004 with 15 members, and now represents more than 50 members from Sonoma, Marin, Napa and Mendocino Counties by providing educational programs, networking, career opportunities and extensive online resources for fundraising professionals at all levels.
- The Chapter has presented more than 85 programs addressing pertinent topics for fund raising and other nonprofit professionals. Up to 65 people attend the programs – 50% are members. The remainder are other staff and volunteers working with nonprofits in the Wine Country.
- A large majority of those who attended our workshops, indicated they have implemented the information/topics in their daily work.
- The Chapter has awarded Chamberlain Scholarships to 7 members to attend the International AFP Conference since 2004.
- Current and Past Presidents established the Presidents’ Scholarship in 2007, which has been awarded to 4 recipients and covers their AFP membership dues for one year.
- The Chapter offers financial assistance to members and guests to attend programs, awarding more than 20 scholarships in the past year.
- The Chapter provides informal mentoring to nonprofit professionals.
